Pre- Departure Information for Yatries

Clothing
Casual wears and comfortable walking shoes are recommended to travel to Tibet. Be sure to bring warm clothing as nights and early mornings can be quite chilly to downright cold. Indian woman Pilgrims strictly advisable no Sari

Health
This is one of the toughest high-altitude road journeys on earth. You Must be physically fit - no two ways about that. Generally, patients with asthma & heart problems have a problem acclimatizing to high altitudes. In your interests it is essential you should be examined by your doctor to know about your health condition and your ability to cope up with the rigors of high-altitude travel for days in 'no road' conditions, extreme cold, dust, trekking to an altitude of 19500ft during the Parikrama, etc.

Altitude Sickness
As you are travelling over high terrain, you are likely to experience symptoms and discomfort of altitude sickness (headache, loss of appetite, nausea, exhaustion, sleeplessness, breathlessness etc.) until your body adjusts to the elevation. This can take a couple of days or more depending on an individual. For this reason alone, we have made it mandatory to stay 2 nights at Taklakot before moving on to the higher altitudes. Drink plenty of water, be calm, and do exercise. Do not drink alcohol or smoke prior to and during the tour. We also recommend you carry a strip of Diamox tablets. Do consult your physician on the dosage

Critical Risk Acknowledgement (As per Operator)

Before booking, Yatries must understand and accept the following:
• The operator is not responsible for accidents or delays in evacuation due to natural calamities in the remote terrain.
• The operator is not liable for any illness due to the hazards of high-altitude travel where emergency treatment is unavailable.
• No refunds will be issued for changes or cancellations imposed by Chinese authorities or other factors beyond the operator's control.
• This is a physically demanding and high-risk journey. Yatries undertake this travel entirely at their own risk.

Health Advisory & Altitude Warning

Fitness Level: This is one of the toughest high-altitude journeys. You must be in excellent physical health.
Medical Check-Up: A thorough check-up by your doctor is mandatory, especially for those with pre-existing heart or respiratory conditions like asthma.
Altitude Sickness: Symptoms like headache, nausea, loss of appetite, and breathlessness are common. The acclimatization day in Taklakot is crucial.
Precautions: Drink 3-4 litters of water daily, avoid alcohol and smoking, do not over-exert, and inform your guide immediately of any severe symptoms.

Excellent tour organised by Monks & Monkeys Travels Pvt. Ltd.

We had a family Tour of Rajasthan. It was a nice experience overall. Services were offered as committed. But the best time to visit rajasthan is always in winter season after October . definitely going to book with same company. Thanks Mr Sharad Jindal & Dr. Sanjeev Verma Ji to make our tour memorable.

Fast Growing Company… Thousands of Happy Customers… Value for Money… Thanks to all supporters… etc… I think every genuine company bother about all above.

What We found uncommon that Monks & Monkeys Travels founded by a Doctor of Medicine, who became professional of the industry in a span of 15+ years of working. When analysing more, then I understand that not only this fact but other things like Name of the Company, Working Culture, Office Atmosphere, Relation to Colleagues, Co-partners and Satisfaction of our Tourists… so many things which are different in a better way. Further realizing that this difference is due to fact that I did not have any roots to travel industry… Neither by family, nor by study. And why so my approach is different. Honesty is the top most priority in Monks & Monkeys Travels.
