Tour Overview

Embark on a 6-night, 7-day scenic journey through Bhutan covering Phuentsholing, Thimphu, Punakha, and Paro. Discover majestic monasteries, ancient fortresses, mountain passes, and rich cultural heritage. A perfect blend of nature, spirituality, and tradition—ending with memories to cherish forever.

Day 1: Pickup from NJP Railways Station / Bagdogra Airport and stay at Phuentsholing.

  • Meet and greet on arrival at NJP Railways Station / Bagdogra Airport.
  • And transfer to Phuentsholing via Dooars with beautiful tea garden and night stay at Phuentsholing.
  • Overnight in Phuentsholing

Day 2: Phuentsholing to Thimphu and night stay at Thimphu

  • After early breakfast from Phuentsholing drive to Thimphu.
  • In the evening, spend some leisure time visit the Tashi Chho Dzong (Fortress of the Glorious Religion).
  • You can then check in for hotel and night stay.
  • Overnight in Thimphu.

Day 3: Thimphu to Punakha and night stay at Thimphu

  • After breakfast, start from Punakha and on the way visit:
  • Dochula Pass- Scenic stop at 3,100m offering panoramic views of the Eastern Himalayas.
  • Punakha Dzong- Majestic fortress at the confluence of Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers.
  • Suspension Bridge- Walk across the longest suspension bridge over the Mo Chhu River.
  • Chhimi Lhakhang- Visit the famous “Temple of Fertility” built by Lama Drukpa Kuenley.
  • Return and stay overnight in Thimphu.

Day 4: Thimphu sightseeing And Transfer to Paro and night stay at Paro

  • After breakfast, start from local Thimphu sightseeing of:
  • National Memorial Chorten: Stupa built in memory of the Third King; a site for prayers and peace.
  • Buddha Point (Kuensel Phodrang): 51.5m bronze Buddha statue with stunning valley views.
  • Takin Zoo: See Bhutan’s unique national animal, the endangered Takin.
  • National Library: Home to rare Buddhist manuscripts and the world’s largest published book.
  • Zorig Chusum Institute: Traditional arts school teaching 13 Bhutanese crafts.
  • Royal Textile Museum: Explore Bhutan’s rich textile heritage and ancient fabrics.
  • Craft Bazaar: Shop for authentic local handicrafts in bamboo stalls.
  • Drive to Paro and overnight stay.

Day 5: Paro Taktsang Monastery and night stay at Paro

  • Trek to Taktsang: 3-hour hike (or optional horse ride) to the iconic cliffside monastery, Scenic Views, Spiritual Site, Adventure & Peace.
  • Return and overnight in Paro.

Day 6: Paro to Phuentsholing and night stay at Phuentsholing

  • Breakfast at Hotel.
  • National Museum of Bhutan: Explore Bhutanese art, culture, and history in the ancient Ta-Dzong (est. 1968).
  • Rinpung Dzong: 17th-century fortress housing monastic and administrative offices.
  • Nya Mey Zam Bridge- Traditional wooden bridge with local beliefs and historical significance.
  • Drive to Phuentsholing for overnight stay.

Day 7: Phuentsholing - Drop to NJP Railways Station / Bagdogra Airport

  • After early breakfast at hotel.
  • Start from Phuentsholing and drop to NJP Railways Station / Bagdogra Airport with a sweet Bhutan Holidays memory.
