Architecture

Designed by Moshe Safdie, the museum’s architecture blends with nature and symbolises the spiritual strength of the Sikh community. Constructed mainly with sandstone and concrete, the bold geometric forms are inspired by the surrounding hills of Anandpur Sahib. The strong angular shapes represent courage, resilience, and faith, which are central to Sikh philosophy. Inside, the galleries are carefully designed to guide visitors smoothly through different periods of Sikh history.
