1.Sariska Palace 

Sariska Palace is a magnificent heritage hotel located at the edge of the Sariska Tiger Reserve. Built in the late 19th century by Maharaja Jai Singh of Alwar, the palace originally served as a royal hunting lodge and summer retreat for the Alwar royal family. Its architecture beautifully blends French and Indian styles, with grand halls, vintage furniture, and sprawling gardens that reflect the opulence of Rajasthan’s regal era. 2. Pandupol Temple 

Nestled deep within the Sariska Tiger Reserve, Pandupol Temple is a serene and spiritually significant site dedicated to Lord Hanuman. According to local legends and stories from the Mahabharata, this is where Bhima, one of the five Pandava brothers, battled and defeated the demon Hidimba during their exile. The name “Pandupol” translates to “gateway of the Pandavas.” The temple is set amidst rocky hills and lush forest, with a small seasonal waterfall nearby that flows during the monsoon, enhancing the tranquil atmosphere. The journey to the temple often includes sightings of peacocks, monkeys, and other wildlife, making it a perfect blend of spiritual and natural exploration.

• Timings: Typically open from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Some sources say until 7:00 PM.
• Entry / Fee: The temple itself has free entry. But, entering Sariska National Park / core zone (to reach Pandupol) requires paying fees:
• For private vehicles:  ₹250 Per person fees for park access (Indians and foreigners) apply.

3. Kankwari Fort

Kankwari Fort is a historic 17th-century structure situated within the Sariska Tiger Reserve. It is best known for its connection to Mughal history, as it was used by Emperor Aurangzeb to imprison his brother Dara Shikoh during their struggle for the throne. Perched atop a hill, the fort offers sweeping views of the surrounding Aravalli hills and forest landscape. Though now in ruins, the fort retains its imposing presence and serves as a reminder of the turbulent history of the Mughal era. Visiting Kankwari Fort requires special permission from forest authorities, as it lies in a protected area of the reserve, but the adventurous journey and historical intrigue make it well worth the effort.

4. Bhangarh Fort

Located about 30 kilometers from Sariska, Bhangarh Fort is one of the most talked-about and mysterious historical sites in India. Built in the 17th century by Raja Madho Singh, the fort once housed palaces, temples, and a thriving marketplace, all of which now lie in ruins. Bhangarh is most famous for its reputation as one of India’s most haunted places, surrounded by eerie legends and supernatural tales. The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has even placed a board outside warning visitors not to enter the site after sunset. Despite the chilling stories, the fort attracts thousands of tourists for its stunning architecture, haunting beauty, and thrilling atmosphere.
